Paragon software has made available a pre-release version of Camp Tune, a new utility for resizing your Boot Camp partition without destroying data. While the Leopard version of Disk Utility is now able to perform partition resizing, it is not able to resize a Boot Camp partition without erasing it (although you could back it up and restore it if needed). Camp Tune runs as a bootable Linux-based CD which allows you to boot your Mac and reallocate disk space between your Boot Camp and HFS+ partition.

Apple has been updated the Aperture what powerful photo editing and management software. Aperture 2.1.1 update has same descriptions with iLife updates in last week. It supports general compatibility issues, improves overall stability, and addresses a number of other minor issues. I assume Aperture covering up Mobile Me failure with its components this time. Aperture 2.x and 1.x users have an update for each of them. Aperture 1.5.6 has same content with them also.

After Apple’s Aperture 2.1.1 update, Adobe just released the Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 2.0 finished version today, it was beta release since a few months. There are some new features on it. Streamlined Organization and Worfklow, Localized Correction, Smart Collections, developed Organization tools, multiple monitors, keyword suggestions, developed Photoshop CS3 support and print settings… All these new features come with Lightroom 2.0 for you.

Adeona is the first Open Source system for tracking the location of your lost or stolen laptop that does not rely on a proprietary, central service. This means that you can install Adeona on your laptop and go — there’s no need to rely on a single third party. What’s more, Adeona addresses a critical privacy goal different from existing commercial offerings. It is privacy-preserving. This means that no one besides the owner (or an agent of the owner’s choosing) can use Adeona to track a laptop. Unlike other systems, users of Adeona can rest assured that no one can abuse the system in order to track where they use their laptop.

Indie developer Rory Prior expects to release version 1.0 of his iKanji application this coming Thursday, he announced today.
iKanji is a tool for anyone learning Japanese, and combines meaning, reading and writing training and tests. Over 2,000 Kanji characters and 20,000 example words are included. This is an app for advanced learners who already have a grasp of the hiragana and katakana characters (which are covered in Rory’s existing iKana app).

IntoMobile has a few good tips on how to extend your iPhone’s battery life, and most of them involve the most obvious thing you can do to keep your iPhone running: cut down on any and all extra functions. They actually recommend to turn off 3G, but you don’t have to go that far — just by holding down the Home button, you can close any background applications sucking up juice. And by resetting your phone, you can do the same thing — clear out anything running that you’re not using.

Flying Mac released the FarFinder 1.1 with Spotlight and iSight support. FarFinder accessing your Mac’s files from anywhere easily (just like Mac OS X Leopard’s Back to My Mac feature). Also, all you needed thing is a web browser for it. With this software, you can access any file on any operating system (Windows, Linux, Mac) from your Finder menu and you can search with Spotlight. You don’t see your files with only list mode. You can download and upload your files, also you can Preview them all with FarFinder easily.
Another innovation comes with latest version which iSight feature. You can see who’s using your Mac or just keep an eye on what’s happening on it. The Iconfactory’s Anthony Piraino has just released the latest version of his domain management tool, DomainBrain. If you aren’t familiar with DomainBrain, it is a really, really slick way to keep track of all of your domain information, like various logins, directories, passwords, in one nice and tidy place.
