Personal domains will be kept intact with MobileMeAccording to Apple Support documents, personal domains will be kept intact with MobileMe. Blogger Sean Sperte noticed a “personal domain” option while watching the MobileMe quick tour. That prompted some investigation which led to this support document. Sure enough, it confirms that .Mac personal domains will remain untouched by the change:

Import your eBay auction info into iCal with eBaytoiCal 3.1 eBaytoiCal is an AppleScript that parses the frontmost document in Safari. If it is an eBay auction, it tries to create an iCal calendar entry on the end date of that auction and sets a reminder 15 minutes before. The name of the event will be the article name, the URL will be the page of the article (i.e., the page you are currently viewing). Updated version is eBaytoiCal 3.1. They fixed problems with date parsing in various locales with latest release which 3.1. This script requires the Mac OS X 10.3 or higher and iCal 1.5.2 or higher.

Microsoft: Messenger 7.1.0 for your MacMicrosoft just published the instant messaging software’s new release today. With this small update, they developed the software’s VoiceOver feature and fixed to facing problems with some of Europe languages. Also, they increased the Office Communications Server 2007 compatibility with this release.

Microsoft Messenger 7.1.0 is an universal binary application and requires the Mac OS X 10.4.9 or higher operating systems. However, it doesn’t supports the video and audio calls yet.

Apple changed .Mac brand to Mobile Me

Apple changed .Mac brand to Mobile MeRumors came true and Apple restored the .Mac service a few weeks ago. However, Apple’s primarly land of interest which .Mac service refreshed and harmonized with iPhone. They introduced to Mobile Me as “Exchange for everybody”, it provides data equalization between iPhone (iPhone Touch), Mac and Windows systems. Mail, Address Book and iCal on Mac systems. Microsoft Outlook on Windows systems. You can access persons, calendars, emails, photo albums, iDisk and Web 2.0 applications from Me.com’s service pages.

Mobile Me will be opened 11 July 2008 with iPhone 2.0 update, they’ll give totally 20GB (including iDisk) space their users and cost is that $100. System requirements determined the Mac OS X 10.4.11. It supports Safari 3, Internet Explorer 7, Firefox 2 or higher web browsers. Currently .Mac users will be promoted to Mobile Me service without any charge. New service will allows you can use your @mac.com email address. However, no one knows that support how long does it exile!

So you can increase your minimum fan speed to make your Intel Mac run cooler. However in order not to damage your machines smcFanControl doesn’t let you set a minimum speed to a value below Apple’s defaults. In addition to that fans are still in automatic mode, so the speed of your fans will increase, if CPU load gets higher.

Ue Google Reader with your iPhoneGoogle has quietly released a beta of its improved iPhone reader. I’ve only been using it an less than an hour but can already attest it is an improvement over the prior version. I do all of my newsreading through Google Reader. This arises partly from the way I read news.

Positive Spin Media’s media search tool, Pandora (formerly NetScrape) has been bumped up to version 2.3. The new version primarily fixes some issues that Pandora had with reading some pages with non-English languages or encoding. The update is free to registered users, and you can download the update today.

If you haven’t seen Pandora before, it’s worth a look. First security bug on Firefox 3Firefox 3 is has been published with record testing on this Tuesday. However, first security bug just came on the scene. Tipping Point announcing to confirm the Firefox 3’s first security bug after published 5 hours.  Bug is notified to Mozilla too. Window Snyder (Mozilla’s Security Manager) made a declaration about situation. Snyder told that bug details keeping private between Mozilla and Tipping Poing, there is low security risk and they working on that. Firefox bugs can be fixed in a few days but what about Apple’s bug fixing issues? I don’t think so

By the way, Firefox 3 has been downloaded 8,349,074 times in only 24 hours. They waiting for complete to processes to get in the Guinnes Record Book now.

MarsEdit 2: Powerful blog publishing for your MacDaniel Jalkut of Red Sweater Software has posted MarsEdit 2.1.4. The version includes a new dock menu item for easily starting a new post, adds better Picasa support for Blogger users, and fixes some other minor issues.

MarsEdit is a standalone software application that allows you to publish blog posts to a variety of sites and blog management systems.

Jalkut promises that these are short-term fixes for a much larger MarsEdit 2.2 release on the way.

The update is free for registered MarsEdit 2 users, and works with Mac OS X 10.4 and 10.5.
