Apple has just released a new security update for client and server users of Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger (Intel and PPC), Mac OS X 10.4 Server (Intel ve PPC) and Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard. This Security update 2008-005 is “recommended for all users and improves the security of Mac OS X,” and includes fixes for a dozen or so features in Mac OS X.

The VMWare team has just released the second beta for VMWare Fusion 2.0, the company’s popular virtualization program for the Mac.
The new beta adds a TON of new features than old beta release, as the video above demonstrates. I got a chance to see to VMWare today about the new beta and it is HOT. I’ll be posting a more in-depth overview tomorrow, but until then, here are some of the highlights:

Apple already released another driver update which HP Printer Driver 1.1 for Leopard users. This update only for Leopard users, they published another updates which for Canon and Brother printers before. The HP Printer Driver Update includes the latest drivers for printers you have used on your system. They also saying that this update has huge file size. Anyone knows which models or drivers updated yet, you must download and install it first.

We all know how rocky the transition from .Mac to MobileMe has been. It now seems to be working for quite a few folks (at least to some degree), and Apple has already pushed out an update for the service. The Mac OS X Update for MobileMe 1.1 is available now through Software Update. Note that if you aren’t yet seeing the update, try signing out of .Mac via System Preferences and then back in again — you should see a dialog asking you if you want to download the update.

Apple has been published tips of the week on their official website. If you are a newbie with your Mac, you’ll definitely need this new feature todays. Spaces, one of the coolest new features of Mac OS X Leopard, lets you switch among multiple desktops. For example, you might create a communication workspace for Mail, iChat, and Address Book, another for media programs like iTunes and iPhoto, and a third for video games. Then, instead of hiding/showing programs or dragging them around onscreen, you’d simply switch desktops. If you’re the sort of user who tends to have many applications open at once, Spaces is a godsend to you.

On this long weekend (for some of us), how about some outdoor activity? TrailRunner updated its route planning software for runners, bikers, and hikers that works with your iPod nano and Nike+ sport kit.
TrailRunner 1.7 is the latest release of the software, which can now import workout data from the Garmin ForeRunner 50, and from nikeplus.com. It also improves the diary history chart.

Cocktail, the power-user’s system housekeeping app, has been updated to version 4.1.3, and now features support for Leopard 10.5.4.
The utility lets you enable and disable Spotlight indexing, disk journaling, kiosk mode, and a host of other “undocumented” options for the Finder, Dock, Safari, Mail, and many other applications.

The Mac OS X 10.5.4 update might have made you restart your Mac, but it also added “RAW image support for several cameras.” While Apple didn’t tell us what these cameras were in Software Update, they did later update the RAW support page for Mac OS X Leopard.
